Friends of Hearst Castle (FHC) takes your privacy seriously.
Please read the following to learn more about our privacy

What this Privacy Policy
Covers
This Privacy Policy covers FHC's treatment
of personally identifiable and non-personal information that FHC collects
when you use FHC’s web site or online service to purchase memberships and/or
event tickets. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies
that FHC does not own or control, or to people that FHC does not employ
or manage. In addition, this policy does not apply to Mals-e-commerce
(our secure server), which has its own
privacy
policy.
Information Collection
and Use
FHC collects personally identifiable
information only when you purchase memberships and/or event tickets
using our online service. This information includes your full name,
mailing address, email address, home phone number, and credit card
information used to make payment for the FHC memberships and/or event
ticket purchases.
The full name(s) of Patron, Benefactor,
Julia Morgan, Casa Grande and Tower members will automatically be added
to the FHC web site in the Member Directory section. To opt-out of this
list you can contact us by email at: friends@hearstcastle.org
and request to be removed, or not added at all.
FHC automatically receives
non-personal data and records that information on our server
logs from your browser. The information gathered is used
for general marketing purposes, and to track what parts
of our web site are receiving the most interest from our
visitors.
Confidentiality / Security
FHC provides a secure encrypted
transmission method (SSL) via Mals e-commerce to receive
the following types of personal data for the sole purpose of
processing online FHC memberships and/or event ticket purchases:
- primary personal data (such
as name and contact details)
- identifiers (such as credit
card details)
We have implemented security
policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal
data that we have under our control from:
- unauthorized access
- improper use or disclosure
- unauthorized modification
- unlawful destruction or
accidental loss
All our employees and data
processors, who have access to, and are associated with
the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect
the confidentiality of our visitors' personal data.
We ensure that your personal
data will not be disclosed to State institutions and authorities
except if required by law or other regulations.
Information Sharing and
Disclosure
FHC will not sell or rent
your personally identifiable information to anyone.
FHC may send personally identifiable
information about you to other companies or people when:
We have your consent to share the information;
We need to share your information to provide the service
you have requested;
We need to send the information to companies who work on
behalf of FHC to provide a service to you. (Unless we tell
you differently, these companies do not have any right to
use the personally identifiable information we provide to
them beyond what is necessary to assist us).

any substantial changes in the way we use your personal
information we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement
on our pages.
